Mrs. Wilma Pelfrey Coldiron, 88, of Morehead, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019 at her home.
She was born on March 9, 1931 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Ernest and Bertha Stidam Pelfrey.
Mrs. Coldiron was a homemaker, a member of the Church of God and a graduate of Morehead High School.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, working in her flowers, cooking and candy making. Wilma was well known for her carrot cake.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Clayton Coldiron, who passed away on June 5, 1999, two brothers, Carl Pelfrey and Vernon Pelfrey and one sister, Ezma Whitt.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Coldiron (Jeanetta), Larry Coldiron (Sandy) and Gary Coldiron (Amby) all of Morehead, one daughter, Sue Black (Jim) of Georgetown, eleven grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 14, 2019 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Jared DeAtley and Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Anthony Black, Jamie Coldiron, Wes Coldiron, Sam Coldiron, Terry Coldiron and Rusty Coldiron.
The family would like to thank her three special caregivers and St. Claire Hospice for the wonderful care that they provided.
