Willie Cecil "Boo" Kelsey, 70, of Morehead, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
He was born on May 11, 1941 in Rowan County, Kentucky, the son of the late Willie Crayton Kelsey and Zona Elizabeth Brown Kelsey.
Mr. Kelsey was a retired brick mason. He enjoyed fishing and playing and singing music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny Frank Kelsey, Larry Wayne Kelsey and Dale Kelsey and one grandson, Travis Kelsey.
Survivors include special friend and caregiver, Glenna Crockett of Morehead, one son, Robert Kelsey of Greenfield, Indiana, two daughters, Barbara Kelsey and Connie Kelsey both of Dunkirk, Indiana, three brothers, Earl (Judy) Kelsey and Homer "Pete" Kelsey of Morehead and Larry (Angela) Kelsey of Grayson, five sisters, Ann (Oakley) Gover of Somerset, Joann (Gary) Bazell of Ironton, Ohio, Gail (Marty) Chapman, Cheryl (Alden) McDaniel and Debbie (Carl) Fannin all of Morehead, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Elder Cephas Littleton and Philip Littleton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Kelsey Cemetery.
Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Don Maher, Eric Maher, Jim Maher, Billy May, Chris Parker and J. D. Barnett and honorary pallbearers will be all his friends at the Rowan County Senior Citizens Center.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to help with his funeral expenses.
