Mr. Willie Howard Coldiron, Age 77 of Georgetown, Kentucky formerly of Rowan County, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington.
Mr. Coldiron owned and operated W. H. Coldiron and Sons Plumbing in Lexington and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, stock car races, country music and country music festivals.
He was born April 1, 1932 in Rowan County, Kentucky to the late Sam H. Coldiron and Eliza Miller Coldiron. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Russell Clayton Coldiron and sisters, Gladys Flannery, Rose Hall and Lula Mae Cornette.
Surviving is his wife, Hazel Bentley Coldiron whom he married January 25, 1957, three sons, William Scott Coldiron of Lexington, Jody Allan Coldiron of Georgetown and Robert Bruce Coldiron and his wife Pam of Richmond, Kentucky. Seven grandchildren, two Great-Grandsons and his sister Betty Elam of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.
Full military rites will be conducted at the graveside by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.
Visitation at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home is after 6:00 P.M. Monday
