Wilburn Ray Gregory

Wilburn Ray Gregory, 77, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 at St. Claire HealthCare.

He was born on February 22, 1945 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Jessie Denton Gregory and Sylvia Brown Gregory.

Ray had worked as a sawyer at several saw mills.

He was a good storyteller and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns, knives and the outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pam Goodman Gregory, one daughter, Melissa Raye Thomas, one brother, Donnie Gregory and one sister, Betty Howard.

Survivors include one son, Randy Leadingham, Jr. (Hannah) of Morehead, one daughter, April Carreon of Morehead, one brother, Bobby Gregory (Sue) of Morehead, one sister, Odema (Ray) Buckner of Clearfield, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Jesse Thomas, Kaleb Thomas, Kaitlynd Thomas, Kirsten Carreon and Kyland Carreon, two great-grandchildren, Jackson Ray Leadingham and Kennedi Leadingham, special friend, Debbie Goodman Stamper of Morehead and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 1, 2022 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Charles Moore officiating.

Burial will follow in the Baldridge Cemetery on U.S. 60 West.

Visitation is after 12:00 Noon Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Kaleb Thomas, Kyland Carreon, Randy Leadingham, Jr., Dillon Boyd, Travis Simmons and Scottie Wallace.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Thomas, Scott Thomas, Bubby Skaggs and Ramiro Carreon.
