Wayne "Tenny" Carter

Wayne Gary "Tenny" Carter, 65 of Clearfield, Kentucky passed away Sunday evening June 5, 2022, at his home in Clearfield. He was born March 26, 1957 in Morehead, Kentucky to the late Harlan and Elizabeth Ferguson Carter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harlan (P-Joe) Carter and Larry Cecil (Tardy) Carter, sisters, Ella Mae Stamper, Eva Gay McClain and Carolyn McClain and two great-grandchildren.

Tenny was a retired sawmill worker. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and grandbabies.

Survivors include his wife Eva Harris Carter, one daughter, Anisha (Jimmie) Aregood of Clearfield. Three brothers, Carl (Ann) Carter of Belleview, Texas, Paul Ray (Trish) Carter  and Tommy (Connie) Carter all of Morehead. One sister Shirley Moore of Clearfield. Three Grandchildren, Kristen (Jerry) Muse, Tyler (Ashleigh) Aregood and Wesley (Shay) Aregood. Five great-grandchildren, Karson, Lakyn, Kendall, Carter and Waylon. Also two great-grandchildren expected in September and December and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Jeff Stamper officiating.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is after 12 Noon Wednesday.
