Victor Perry

Victor Perry, 86, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at St. Claire HealthCare.

He was born on July 18, 1937 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Dexter Denton Perry and Alice Carrie Hampton Perry.

Victor was retired from Detroit Edison, DTE Energy and he attended the Holly Fork Free Will Baptist Church.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising a garden, discussing politics and spending time with his family and friends.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Kelly Perry, who passed away on October 18, 2015, two brothers, Hank Perry and Oliver Perry and two sisters, Zona Mae Jennings and Dorothy McKinney.

Survivors include one son, Rick Perry of Morehead; also helped raise Barb, Delbert, Larry, Jackie;  two brothers, Arlie Perry (Kay) and Paul Ray Perry (Mary Ann) all of Morehead, one sister, Geraldine Perry of Grayson, Kentucky, special friends, Donald and Diane Butler, adopted grandchildren, Miranda Butler, Tyler Butler, Shawn Butler (Allie), Coda Butler, Landon Butler and Krista Butler, who was very special to him, two adopted great-grandchildren, Brandon Butler and Braylynn Butler and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 26, 2024 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr., Brother Monroe Craig and Brother Lansford May officiating.

Burial will follow in the Perry Family Cemetery.

Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Rocky Kidd, Albert Kidd, Donald Butler, Delbert Jennings, Tyler Butler, Shawn Butler, Landon Butler and Matthew Clinton Gregory.
