Mrs. Verna Williams Thomas, 93, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Lake Forest Park Senior Living in Florida.
She was born on November 15, 1924 in Morehead, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Williams and Nora Kendall Williams.
Mrs. Thomas was a former employee of the state department in Washington, D.C., and worked in the insurance industry until she retired.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Pierce and she enjoyed cooking, music and sewing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Thomas, her second husband, C. J. Fielder, her third husband, Earl J. Rouse, one grandson, Jason Thomas, four brothers, Hobart Williams, Clester Williams, Cleo Williams and Bill Williams and one sister, Leona Wilson.
Survivors include one son, Bill Thomas (Elaine) of Miami, Florida, one brother, Clayton Williams of Morehead, one sister, Norma Trent of Morehead, one grandson, Shane Thomas (Melissa) and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 3, 2018 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Eddie Dennison officiating.
Burial will follow in the Williams-Turner Cemetery at Elliottville.
Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
