Thomas Cecil Turner, Age 45 of Morehead passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was born April 11, 1968 in Dresden, Tennessee to the late Kenneth L. Turner and Nancy Jo Sutberry Davis. Tom was a retired cook and attended the Bluebank First Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, computers and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Ruby Leanna Spurlock Turner, one daughter Frances Dorthea Turner of Nashville, Tennessee, one step-daughter, Melanie Diana-Grace Kelsey and one step-son Eugene Kelsey both of Morehead. Two brothers, Dwight Turner of Fulton, Kentucky and Thomas Turner of Dresden, Tennessee. Two sisters, Brenda Michelle Turner of Jacksonville, Florida and Juanita Turner of Fulton, Kentucky. Two uncles Marvin Dale Sutberry of Louisville, Kentucky and Jeffrey Scott Sutberry of Rochester, New York. One sister-in-law, Tammy (Jeff) Scott of Morehead and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Tuesday in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Lambert and Rev. Myron Pete Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the McBrayer Cemetery at Elliottville. Visitation at the funeral home is after 6:00 PM Monday. Serving as pall bearers will be Mike Bradley, Shawn Skaggs, Arthur Thornsberry, Jamie Thornsberry, Jeff Lewis and Willie Roberts Honorary bearers will be Ronnie Thurman and Aaron Sturgill. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
