Thomas Edward “Tom” Tufts, 46, of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 in Morgan County Kentucky.
He was born on February 27, 1970 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to Martha Jones Tufts and the late William R. “Bill” Tufts.
Mr. Tufts was a graduate of Rowan County Senior High School and Rowan State Vocational and Technical School where he studied to be a diesel mechanic.
Mr. Tufts was the owner and operator of Bluebank Auto body and was a compliance officer with the Rowan County Board of Education.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, attending car shows, and restoring old cars.
He was preceded in death by his father William R. “Bill” Tufts on August 6, 2010.
Survivors include his mother Martha Jones Tufts of Morehead, his fiancé Janet Stamper Caskey of Clearfield, three sons Thomas Randall Tufts of Owingsville, Ethan Kelly Johnson of Morehead, Jacob Tufts of Flemingsburg, three daughters Rebecca Dawn Hatton and husband Tony of Mount Sterling, Brianna Renee Tufts of Morehead, and Emily Grace Reed of Pikeville, Kentucky, one sister Sharon Purnell and husband Jay of Morehead, Kentucky, one nephew Aaron Riggsby of Mount Sterling.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 10 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Pastor Clarke Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow at 1 P.M. Thursday in the Jones Family Cemetery in Bevinsville, Kentucky.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home is after 5 P.M. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Russie Dunaway, Lonnie Arnold, Tom Wilson, Lester Maples, Jeff Wallace and Ted Trent.
