Shirley Mae Barnett Baldridge

Shirley Mae Barnett Baldridge, 78, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023 at her daughter’s home.  

She was born on April 15, 1945 in West Liberty, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Ernest Barnett and Eliza Jane Blair Barnett.

Mrs. Baldridge was a homemaker and she enjoyed wildlife and her dogs, Daisy and Diamond.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest Clay Barnett, Jr., Vernon Barnett, Arnold Barnett and Mervell Barnett.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip Ray Baldridge, two sons, Ray Baldridge (Vicky) and Andy Baldridge both of Morehead, seven daughters, Bernetta Nitz (Frank) of Indiana, Eleanor Johnson (Teddy) of Elliottville, Kentucky, Linda Vale (Dean) of Indiana, Susie Dillon (Ronald) and Vicky Porter (Lowell) both of Morehead, Rachel Baldridge (Richard Thomas) of Frenchburg, Kentucky and Jessica Baldridge Fugate (Jeremy) of Morehead, one brother, James Richard Barnett of Ocala, Florida, five sisters, Helen Peters of Commerce City, Colorado, Wanda Keeton of Brighton, Colorado, Ruth Ellen Coggins of Oklahoma, Fearl Jean Owens of Mansfield, Ohio and Brenda Jones of Jamestown, Ohio, twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at the Baldridge Memorial Cemetery on Lower Craney Creek Road with Brother Lansford May officiating. 

There is no visitation.

Pallbearers will be Teddy Johnson, Ronald Dillon, Nathaniel Porter, Hagan Baldridge, Alvin Kidd and Jeremy Fugate.
