Sandra Dee Carpenter Cornwell, 60, of Anchorage, Alaska passed away peacefully at her home on November 20, 2018.
She was born in Warren, Ohio on July 24, 1958, to Eileen Cowger Hite of Grayson, Kentucky and the late Elder Herman Dee Carpenter.
Sandy was a 1976 graduate of Arroyo Grande High School in Arroyo Grande, California.
She enjoyed her work and loved to travel, especially to spend time with her family and friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Donna Thedford Carpenter, her daughter-in-law, Carly Ginnicks Cornwell and two brothers Eddie Romane and David Elisha Carpenter.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, David Cornwell, one daughter, Stephanie Cornwell of Eagle River, Alaska, one son, Jon Cornwell of Anchorage, Alaska, brothers, Ken Carpenter, Steve (Tresea) Carpenter and Joe (Branndi) Carpenter all of Olive Hill, Kentucky and sisters, Joyce Dixon of Olive Hill, Kentucky and Elizabeth (Orville) McClurg of Morehead, Kentucky. Also, her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Brayden, Jonathan Scott, Parker and Macy Grace and Kylee Rae-Ann and many other family and friends that will sadly miss her.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Pleasant Valley Church, 2055 Pleasant Valley Rd, Niles, Ohio 44446 and
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the Limestone Apostolic Church in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Sandy was one of a kind, big-hearted and loved being with her family and friends.
