Ruth Barnes

Dr. Ruth Croley Barnes, Age 84 of Big Perry Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, June 9, 2008 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
She was born on June 29, 1923 in London, England, a daughter of the late Frederick and Lillie Bennett Croley.
Dr. Barnes was a retired English professor at Morehead State University.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Lewis Barnes.
Survivors include her daughter, Anthea Boarman of Louisville and six grandchildren.
There is no visitation and a private family burial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Rowan County Humane Society.
