Russell Fultz

Russell Fultz, 74, of Parkside Court passed away Sunday, September 9, 2007 in the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

He was born on July 5, 1933 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Sollie and Mary Alice Whitt Fultz.

Mr. Fultz was a barber and a former employee of Tennessee Gas Transmission Corporation. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict, a 40 year member of the Morehead Masonic Lodge No. 654 where he had served as Past Master, a member of the El Hasa Shrine Temple, Scottish Rite of Covington and York Rite. Mr. Fultz was of the Baptist Faith, a Kentucky Colonel and he enjoyed fishing, reading and he had read the Bible completely through 7 times. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, Clifford Fultz, Charlie Fultz, Homer Fultz, Ervin Fultz, Lester Fultz, Ira Fultz and Raymond Fultz.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Caudill Fultz of Morehead, two daughters, Mary Cantrell and her husband, Jerry of Louisville and Debbie Stinnett and her husband, Marcel of Grayson, one sister, Betty Little of Morehead, two granddaughters, Richelle Meade and her husband, Matthew of Morehead and Amy Greenhill of Louisville, one grandson, Jeremy Cantrell of Lexington, two great-grandchildren, Justin Delph of Louisville and Summer Meade of Morehead and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 12, 2007 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Elder Leo Ison officiating. Burial will follow in the Fultz Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted at the graveside by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday by the Morehead Masonic Lodge No. 654.

Pallbearers will be Marcel Stinnett, Jerry Cantrell, Jeremy Cantrell, Matthew Meade, Hubert Caudill and Paul Little.
