Ruby Charlet

Ruby Hall Charlet, 88, born in Rowan County on February 6,1933 to the late Ora Lee and Pearl Conley Hall went to be with the Lord, in her heavenly home on February 8, 2021 surrounded by loving family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Robert E. Charlet, all of her siblings Marty, Dell, and Elsie, a son Robert L. Charlet, and a grand-daughter Jillian Charlet.

Ruby was a lifelong care giver.  She became a registered nurse and continued on to become an anesthetist.  She gave anesthesia in Lexington (St. Joe), Ashland (KDAH), Paducah (Western Baptist), Louisville (Jewish Hospital), and Fleming County after retirement.

She was baptized in 1972 at First Baptist Church in Ashland by Rev. John Sykes.  She loved the Lord and reading His word.

Ruby is survived by three children, Alan Charlet (Hot Springs, AK,) Mary Ann Steyer (David) in Paducah, KY, and Carl and Mary Beth Charlet in Morehead.  She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and her very best friend Barb Young.

She is loved and will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 13, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with her son, Carl Charlet officiating (just as she requested).

Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
