Roy Fraley

Roy Edward Fraley, 88, of 320 Plank Chapel Road passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008 in the Life Care Center.

He was born on February 23, 1919 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Jake and Myrtle Plank Fraley.

Mr. Fraley was a farmer, a former employee of Ray L. White and Sons Lumber Company, a state highway worker and a United States Veteran having served during World War II. He enjoyed farming and making tobacco sticks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-nine years, Oma Whisman Fraley who passed away on June 4, 1991, two brothers, Zenith Fraley and John Fraley, three sisters, Cressie Lawson, Rena Hamilton and Mayme Spence, one grandson, William Edward Murphy, Jr. and his son-in-law, Bill Murphy.

Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Caskey and her husband, Jimmy and Judy Fraley Wallace all of Morehead, two brothers, Joe Fraley and David Fraley both of Morehead, six grandchildren, Dale (Lisa) Caskey, Terri (Jerry) Clark, Susie (Dwight) Perkins, Billie Ann Murphy Douglas, Linvil (Tabitha) Wallace and Roy Vencil Wallace, seventeen great-grandchildren, Sara Nicole Perkins, Justin (Cassandra) Perkins, Christopher Caskey, Crayton Caskey, Trevor Clark, Frankie Clark, Jesse Clark, Benjamin Edward Wallace, Shelby Raye Wallace, Austin Wallace, Walker Wallace, Clifton Wallace, Kyle Murphy, Jessica Douglas, Alexis Lang, A. J. Lang and Joshua Thomas Wallace, special honorary grandchildren, Lawrence Logan and Wilma McCleese Logan and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Don Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in the Hogge Cemetery at Cranston. Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Linvil Wallace, Roy Wallace, Dwight Perkins, Justin Perkins, Lawrence Logan, Jerry Clark, Trevor Clark, Jesse Clark, Frankie Clark, Crayton Caskey and Christopher Caskey and honorary pallbearers will be Denzil Fraley, Joe Fraley, Kyle Murphy, Gary Fraley, Vaughn Fraley, Harold Fraley, Dallas Fraley, Milton Hamilton and Brian Littleton.
