Mr. Robert Gene “Bob” Adams, 80, of Morehead, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at his home.
He was born on August 6, 1938 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Thurman and Mary Mutters Adams.
Bob was the owner and operator of A & A Amusement.
He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126.
Bob enjoyed working, watching the television show, Gunsmoke and he was a George Jones fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen Lee Adams and Robert Gene Adams, Jr. and four brothers, Ed Adams, Jessie Adams, Lawrence Adams and Edwin Adams.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Darlene Caskey of Morehead, three grandchildren, Bradley Adams (Chasity), Christopher Adams and Robyn Adams all of Morehead, one great-granddaughter, Stevie Michelle Adams, one brother, Jimmy Adams of Morehead, two sisters, Connie Hamm of Morehead and Illene Powell of Salt Lick and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 20, 2018 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating.
Burial with full military rites conducted by the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126 will follow in the Howard Cemetery.
Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Adams, Christopher Adams, Richie Caskey, Robbie Caskey, Justin Gregory, Clinton Fisk and Derek Caskey.
