Mr. Richard Arlen Goodman, 81, of Morehead, passed away Monday morning, November 25, 2013 at his home.
He was born on December 16, 1931 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Russell and Liddie Alice Cox Goodman.
Mr. Goodman was a retired logger, farmer and truck driver.
He was the former manager of the tobacco warehouse and a member of the Slab Camp Christian Church.
He was very active in the Republican Party and he enjoyed hunting and pulling pranks on people.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Katie Hamilton Goodman, two sons-in-law, Ernest Fugate and David Christopher, five brothers, Homer Goodman, Billy Ray Goodman, Hendrix Goodman, Ronald Goodman and Robert Goodman and one sister, Frances Dillon.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Craig (Amy Denise) Goodman, Jr. of Sharpsburg and William James (Susie) Goodman, Jr. of Morehead, four daughters, Hassie Gay Goodman Fugate of Versailles, Pamela Goodman (Ray) Gregory of Clearfield, Cheryl Ann Goodman Christopher of Mt. Sterling and Lori Lynn "Brenda" Goodman Clark of Albuquerque, New Mexico, one brother, Delmar Goodman of Morehead, one sister, Esther Riddle of Morehead, nineteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Moore officiating.
Burial will follow in the Crix Cemetery.
Visitation is after 4:00 P.M. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Larry Goodman, Timmy Goodman, Wesley Clark, Brandon Stone, Billy Goodman, Jamie Goodman, Ramiro Carreon and Steve McKinney.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Stephens, Russell Goodman, Shane Abbott and Umberto Gonzalez.
