Mr. Raymond Morrison Wright, 83, of Greenup, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at his home.
He was born on October 20, 1928, a son of the late John Wallace Wright and Lucy Williams Wright Lilly.
Mr. Wright was an auto parts salesman for many years. He retired from The Barney Williams Company and was a United States Army Veteran having served during Korea. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Joyce Ellington Wright, who passed away on March 24, 1996, two daughters, Roberta Kay Wright, who passed away in 1953 and Joyce Kathleen Wright, who passed away in 1954, one brother, Calvin Wright and one sister, Georgia Hall.
Survivors include one son, Johnny Ray (Patricia) Wright of Greenup, two sisters, Effie Moore of Naples, Florida and Mary Brady of Richland, Ohio, two grandchildren, Johnny Ray (Kristina) Wright, Jr. of Georgetown and Rebecca Lynn Wright (Ronald) Miller of Raceland, six great-grandchildren, Cassie Wright, Ashley Wright, Brittany Wright, Ryan Wright, Joey Miller and Emma Miller, one great-great-granddaughter, Carlee Rae Griffith and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. James Daniels officiating.
Burial will follow in the Caudill Cemetery at Sharkey.
Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
