Ray P. Maze, 76, of West Main Street - Morehead passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
He was born on October 11, 1931 in Bath County, Kentucky, a son of the late Robert M. and Adah Belle Alderson Maze.
Mr. Maze was a retired pipeline worker and a United States Navy Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Salt Lick High School and he enjoyed fishing and caring for his pets.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Massey.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Messer Maze of Morehead, two sons, Bob Maze of Leitchfield and Rodney Maze of Morehead, two daughters, Anita Willoughby and her husband, David of Georgetown and Gina Day and her husband, Randy of Morehead, two brothers, J. W. Maze and his wife, Ruby of Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Howard Maze and his wife, Lotus of Frenchburg, one sister, Katie Dublin of Champaign, Illinois, nine grandchildren, Randa Day Gilliam, Adam Day, Kristen Willoughby, Samantha Willoughby, Caleb Maze, Justin Willoughby, Audrey Maze, Sydney Maze and Trevor Maze, one great-granddaughter, Madilyn Gilliam and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 4, 2008 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Winston Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Polksville Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted at the graveside by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Visitation is from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday.
Pallbearers will be David Willoughby, Randy Day, Adam Day, Jarrod Gilliam, Nick Johnson and Justin Perkins.
