Ralph Wilburn Christian, 92, of Jacksboro, Tennessee formerly of Morehead, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at his home after an extended illness.
Mr. Christian was born on November 28, 1926 in Morehead, Kentucky, a son of the late Herb and Mamie Christian.
He married Virginia Louise Rhoden on July 24, 1953, together they raised four children.
He retired to LaFollette, Tennessee in the 70’s, where he enjoyed many years of gardening, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Wilbur J. Christian, one sister, Marie and three brothers, Claude, Carl and Verner.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia, three daughters, Gail, Marilyn and Denise, ten grandchildren, who were very dear to his heart, Tony, Rodney, Cathy, Melissa, Susan, Heather, John, Murray, Travis and Lindsey, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Berniece, one brother, Jimmie and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Brown Cemetery.
There is no local visitation.

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 23, 2019 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home, 700 West Central Avenue, LaFollette, followed by funeral service at 8:00 P.M. with Vern Weire, an Elder from The LaFollette Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses officiating.
