Mrs. Phyllis Gail Atkins Blevins, 77, of Clearfield, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Elliott County.

She was born on June 27, 1936 in Morehead, Kentucky, a daughter of the late George Walter Atkins and Jessie McFarland Atkins.

Mrs. Blevins was a homemaker and a member of the Sharkey Freewill Baptist Church.

She enjoyed working puzzles, gardening, flowers and spending time with her family

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Blevins, who passed away on March 30, 1989 and two sisters, Ramona Carol Menard and Jeanetta Kay Atkins.

Survivors include one son, Brian Lee (Bonnie) Blevins of Olive Hill, two daughters, Judi Ann (Roger) Adkins of Sandy Hook and Sandra Gay Blevins of Morehead, four brothers, Gary Leon (Betty) Atkins of Wellford, South Carolina, Larry Wayne (Diana) Atkins of Lexington, Barry Edward Atkins of Morehead and Michael Steven (Lisa) Atkins of Farmers, three sisters, Evelyn June Lemaster of Farmers, Beverly Sue (Everett Ray) Bentley of Morehead and Marlene Faye (Carlos) Owens of Lexington, three grandchildren, Nicole Lee (Nick) Goodpaster, Cheryl Lynn Adkins and Keshia Renee (Dustin) Gibson, two great-grandchildren, Cody Lane Adkins and Jessie Ann Goodpaster and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 13, 2014 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow in the Scaggs Cemetery at Hillsboro.

Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Nick Goodpaster, Donnie Blevins, Andy Blevins, Richard Easton, Dustin Gibson and Alex Kiser.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nicole Goodpaster, Cheryl Adkins, Keshia Gibson, Cody Adkins and Jessie Goodpaster.
