Penny Porter

Penny Sue Porter, 56, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on July 1, 1965 in Morehead, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Deloris Markwell and Dorothy Bowling.

Penny enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her grandkids.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Staton.

Survivors include one daughter, Staci Porter (Eugene) of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, three sons, Jamie Markwell of Morehead, and Doug Copher and Glenn Copher both of Salt Lick, Kentucky, two special grandchildren, Haislee Dean and Lewis Dean, four sisters. Lillian “Punch” Jones (Dean), Clara “Baby Sis” Knipp (Jimmy) Mary “Lucy” Hamm, Debbie Hamm and a special friend, Mable Pelfrey.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M Wednesday, March 2, 2022.
