Paul Brent Gilliam, age 54 of Georgetown, Kentucky passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at his home in Georgetown. He was born in Morehead, Kentucky November 22, 1960 to Thelma E. Jones and the late Kenneth Gilliam.
Brent was a former dock worker for the Ryder Trucking Company and was a graduate of the Rowan County High School. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing the guitar and listening to bluegrass and gospel music. He was a University of Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan and never missed watching a game.
Survivors include his Mother, Mrs. Thelma E. Jones and her special friend Donald Grayson of Cynthiana, Kentucky. Two brothers, Michael Lee Gilliam of Morehead and Timothy Neal Gilliam and his wife Amy of Claremore, Oklahoma. One sister, Maresa Gilliam Foster of Morehead. Niece and Nephews, Paige Foster, Seth (Adrianna) Gilliam, Jeremy Lee Gilliam, Travis Clay Gilliam, Clayton Gilliam, Daniel Gilliam and Logan Foster. One Great-Nephew Landon Lee Gilliam.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home with Brother Roy Lands officiating. Burial will follow in the Lyons Cemetery.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home is after 12:00 Noon Monday.
Serving as Pall Bearers will be Nelson Porter, William Utterback, Dale Davis, Roy Lands, Mike Gilliam and Tim Gilliam.
