BURIAL: BRADLEY CEMETERY AT SOLDIER
Mr. Ora Stephen King, 65, of Salley, South Carolina, formerly of Carter County, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at his home.
He was born on January 2, 1949 in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of Oleda Littleton King and the late Paul Stephen King.
Steve was a carpenter by trade and a United States Army Veteran. He loved stray animals, the outdoors and was an avid gardener.
Steve had a personal relationship with the Lord, and a kind and caring heart.
In addition to his father, Paul Stephen King, who passed away on February 22, 2011, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris (Peze) Arthurs King and two brothers, Chuck King and David Allen King.
Survivors include his mother, Oleda Littleton King of Olive Hill, two sisters, Edith L. (Phillip) Tackett of Morehead and Donna (Corbett) Dillon of Olive Hill, his companion, Nancy Lemaster of Salley, South Carolina and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 14, 2014 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Elder Lonnie Gregory, Elder Terry Bryant and Elder Junior Ruggles officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bradley Cemetery at Soldier.
Full military honors will be conducted at the graveside by Corbie Ellington American Legion Post No. 126.
Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Paul Dillon, Brian Dillon, Versel Dillon, Mickey Grills and Stephen Dillon.
