Ollie Conn

Mr. Ollie Conn, 77, of Niles, Ohio formerly of Elliottville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010 in the emergency room of St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio.

He was born in Elliottville, Kentucky on February 8, 1933, a son of the late Frank and Edna Jones Conn. Mr. Conn moved to Ohio in 1965.

Mr. Conn retired in March 2000 from Esco Aluminum in Girard, Ohio, where he worked as a lineman and saw helper. He enjoyed daily walks to the McDonald's in McKinley Heights and sharing a cup of coffee with friends. He also enjoyed walking and sharing a story with his friends and people in general.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, his twin brother, Hollie Conn, Eugene Conn, Roy Conn and Connoy Conn and two sisters, Lillian Conn and Jane Chambers.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Kathleen Buckler Conn, whom he married on June 20, 1959, two children Joyce N. (Larry) Fickes of Niles, Ohio and Jeffrey Eugene Conn at home and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Lane Funeral Home in Niles, Ohio with Pastor Starkey Gilliam officiating.

Burial will follow in the Niles City Cemetery.

Visitation at the Lane Funeral Home in Niles, Ohio is from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 6, 2010.
