Mrs. Nolie Slusher Kidd, 87 of Oak Grove Road, Morehead, passed away Saturday morning, March 24, 2018 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born in Rowan County, Kentucky on March 27, 1930 to the late Willie and Laura Kidd Slusher.
Mrs. Kidd was retired from Morehead State University and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed raising a garden, working in her flowers, canning and visiting with her family, friends and neighbors.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Kidd on June 28, 1996. One brother, Wayne Slusher, Sisters; Rosie Stamper, Carrie Cagle, Sarah Griffin, Gracie Buchanan, Ida Slone and Daisy Maggard. Also, three infant siblings and a nephew, James Avery Dillon.
Survivors include one brother, Andy Slusher and his wife Pat of Morehead, one sister, Mrs. Nona Blank of Portland, Oregon. A niece, Judith Kay Perry of Morehead. Also, several other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Pastor Steven Stanley and Pastor H. G. Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in the Crix Cemetery.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is after 6:00 P.M. Monday.
Family and Friends will serve as pall bearers.
