Myrtle Smith

Mrs. Myrtle Loretta Henderson Smith, 78, of Lexington formerly of Morehead, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
She was born on March 6, 1937 in Olive Hill, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Adam Henderson and Edna Waggoner Smith.
Mrs. Smith had worked at Cowden’s Manufacturing Company and Sealmaster.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Henderson and two sisters, Faye Skaggs and Glinna Cox.
Survivors include her husband, John E. Smith of Lexington, one son, Paul Henderson of Morehead, one brother, Frank (Janis) Henderson of Morehead, one sister, Sharon (David) Kidd of Morehead and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 31, 2015 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home with Brother Don Rivers officiating.
Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.
Visitation is after 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Randy Henderson, Faren Henderson, Sonny Henderson, Derrik Rivers, Dylon Stevens and Donny Oppennhimer.
