Murrel Caudill

July 24, 1922 — January 29, 2013

Mrs. Murrel McFarland Caudill, 90, of Morehead, passed away Tuesday morning, January 29, 2013 in the Life Care Center.

She was born on July 24, 1922 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Jim and Ida Wright McFarland.

Mrs. Caudill was a retired cook having worked at Holiday Inn.

She was of the Church of God Faith and enjoyed reading, gardening, flowers and cooking.

Mrs. Caudill was well known for being a good cook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Caudill and fourteen brothers and sisters.

Survivors include one son, Ralph Caudill and his wife, Jill of Morehead, two grandchildren, Miranda Thomas and her husband, Christopher and Amy Lyons and her husband, Radford, three great-grandchildren, Jacob Kelley, Cole Kelley and Riley Lyons and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 31, 2013 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Brother Johnny Hatfield officiating.

Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Radford Lyons, Rodney Roe, Ricky Boggs, Andrew McLaughlin, Brandon Pelfrey and Johnny Hatfield and honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Thomas and Leonard Claypool.
