Minnie Louise Day Porter

Minnie Louise Day Porter, 94, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025 at UK-St. Claire HealthCare.

She was born on September 8, 1930 in Morehead, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Willoughby and Lottie Hunt Day.

Minnie was a homemaker.

She received her associate’s degree from Morehead State University and was a member of the Lakeview Community Church.

Minnie enjoyed reading, puzzles, flowers and raising a garden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Russell Porter, her daughter, Vicki Hogan, one brother, Johnny Day and one sister, Mona Caudill.

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Porter (Pat) of Morehead and Anthony Keith Porter (Michelle) of Lake Toxaway, North Carolina, two granddaughters, Lisa and Robin, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services and entombment will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Morehead with Pastor Eddie Dennison officiating.

There is no visitation.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
