Melissa Adams

Melissa Colleen Boyd Adams, 49, of Bluestone Road, Morehead passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at St. Claire Healthcare.

She was born on July 13, 1969 in Morgan County, Kentucky, a daughter of Colleen Holliday Bolin of Morgan County, Kentucky and the late Millard Boyd.

Melissa was a private caregiver.

She enjoyed listening to music and she loved coming to listen to her kids play music.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gene Adams, Jr., who passed away on July 11, 2015.

Survivors include one son, Stephan Christopher Adams of Morehead, one daughter, Robyn Madison Adams of Morehead, her mother, Colleen Bolin of Morgan County, her mother-in-law, Nancy Thornsberry of Morehead, two sisters, Mary Lykins of Morgan County and Elizabeth Lykins of Paducah, two nephews, Wesley Pennington and Eli Haney and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 24, 2018 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Greg Hignite officiating.

Burial will follow in the Howard Cemetery.

Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Adams, Eli Haney, Danial Tackett, Clinton Fisk, Allen Adams, Shane Dyer and Vicky Akers.
