Mary Gulley

Mrs. Mary Violet Riley McElroy Gulley was born at Emerson, Kentucky on February 21, 1924 to the late Jack and Mary Jane Richmond Riley.
She departed this life at the home of her niece in Carter County on Friday, May 9, 2008 at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 18 days.
She was retired from Westinghouse Electric in Mansfield, Ohio and was a member of the Old Trace Community Church, the VFW Auxiliary, DAV Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, a Kentucky Colonel and enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Gulley was preceded in death by her first husband Gordon McElroy in 1979, a son, Gordon McElroy, Jr., four brothers; Cleve Riley, Joe Riley, Essie Riley and Everett Riley, three sisters, Ada Duncan, Estella Logan and Laura Phillips.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Arnold Gulley, brother, Tony Riley of Shelbyville, Indiana and a sister Goldie Stevens of Emerson, Kentucky. Also there are several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will miss her too.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Stevens Cemetery at Emerson in Lewis County. Visitation at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home is after 5:00 PM Monday.
