Madelene Johnson

Mrs. Madelene Cox Johnson, 81, of Carrollton, Ohio formerly of Morehead, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in the Carroll Golden Age Retreat.
She was born in Sideway, Kentucky on June 12, 1930, a daughter of the late Wilson and Stella June Adkins Cox.
She was married November 27, 1946 to Delmer Johnson, who passed away on October 21, 2001.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and several sisters.
Survivors include one son, Clifford (Patsy) Johnson of Albuquerque, New Mexico, three daughters, Pattie (Roger) Carpenter of Orrville, Ohio, Karen (Robert) Lucas of Kathleen, Georgia and Crissie Jurkiewicz of Mechanicstown, Ohio, a twin sister, Isolene Adkins of Norwalk, Ohio, thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 21, 2012 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Allan Hutchinson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery at Elliottville.
Visitation is from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday.
