Lymon Jones

Lymon Beecher Jones, 91, of Wilmore, Kentucky formerly of Morehead passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007 in the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore.
He was born on September 24, 1915 in Elliott County, Kentucky, a son of the late Willie G. and Martha Susan Mabry Jones.
Mr. Jones was a retired carpenter, a United States Army veteran having served during World War II and he was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Maggard Jones, one brother, Hermitt Jones and one sister, Ceolia Barker.
Survivors include two sisters, Kathleen Cole of Riverside, Ohio and Isoline Stidam of Dayton, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, June 24, 2007 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. David Starcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted at the graveside by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Visitation is after 11:00 A.M. Sunday.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
