OBITUARY

Mrs. Lucille Scott Stevens was born at Farmers, Kentucky on October 30, 1912 to the late Thomas Hargis Scott and Alta Mae Snelling Scott. She departed this life at the Life Care Center in Morehead, Kentucky on September 22, 2007 at the age of 94 years, 10 months and 22 days.

Lucille retired from Morehead State University and was very active in the community and enjoyed helping others. She volunteered many hours in the school system and at St. Claire Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Morehead First Church of God, American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, White Shrine of Jerusalem, a past Noble Grand, Past President of the Democrat Club of Rowan County, Rowan County Retired Senior Volunteer Program and was a Kentucky Colonel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stevens in 1983, one brother, Carl Scott, three sisters, Vera Anderson, Katherine Weigel and Ima Jean Scott. Also a grandson Richie Sturgill in 1990.

She leaves to mourn her passing her family which includes three sons, Don B. Stevens of Morehead, Kentucky, Larry A Stevens of Farmers, Kentucky and Roger L. Stevens of Franklin, Ohio. One daughter, Diana Stevens of Morehead. Eight Grandchildren; Lee M. Stevens, Mark S. Stevens, Paul B. Stevens, Chad L. Stevens, Lisa Stevens, Kimberly Barker, Jennifer Burwick and Natalie Stevens. Five Great-Grandchildren and Three step-grandchildren, Tanner Hesterberg, Brooklyn Hesterberg and Michael Calvert. A host of other relatives and friends who will miss her too.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 AM Tuesday in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Allan Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Carey Hill Cemetery at Farmers. Visitation at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home is after 6:00 PM Monday.

Pallbearers will be Kim Barker, Natalie Stevens, Chad Stevens, Jennifer Burwick, Lisa Stevens, Tanner Hesterberg, Brooklyn Hesterberg and Michael Calvert.

Contributions are suggested to the Carey Hill Cemetery Association. Donation envelopes are available at the funeral home.
