Lowell V. Cooper

Lowell V. Cooper, 87, of Elliottville, Kentucky, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

He was born on August 2, 1935 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Robert and Sallie Stone Cooper.

Lowell was a retired carpenter and farmer. 

He enjoyed going to church, growing tomatoes, being outdoors and taking walks through the woods.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Ellen Catron Cooper, who passed away on September 14, 2013 and several siblings.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Cooper and his wife, Kathy and Carl Cooper and his wife, Pam all of Elliottville, one sister, Ruby Kinder of Indiana, four grandchildren, Tessa Owens, Adam Cooper, Eric Cooper and Laura Blalock, seven great-grandchildren, Blake Cassity, Alex Robinson, Jacob Williams, Brayden Mollette, Emmalee Cooper, Finley Blalock and Erissa Cooper and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 12, 2023 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Joe Kadlec officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fouch and Cooper Cemetery at Elliottville.

Visitation is after 9:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Blalock, Laura Blalock, Adam Cooper, Blake Cassity, Alex Robinson and Richard Clise.
