Lonnie Joe Collins, 47, of Salt Lick, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born on September 19, 1973 in Charleston, West Virginia, a son of the late Frank D. and Janet Mynhier Collins.
Lonnie was a transporter of dogs and cats for his and Jessica’s business, Paws & Claws.
He enjoyed old cars, loved to sing and dance and enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Dale Collins.
Survivors include his wife, Jessica Binion Collins, his three children, Joseph Collins, Leah Collins and Olivia Collins all at home, one brother, Wendell Collins and his wife, Mary of Morehead, his mother-in-law, Teresa Binion of Salt Lick, five nieces, two nephews and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 15, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Bobby Collins officiating.
Burial will follow in the Collins-Perry Cemetery in Morgan County.
Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Collins, Wendell Collins, Frankie Clark, Austin Clark, Jason Whisman, Joseph Humphries, Adam Whitt and Jeremy Gamble.
