Mrs. Lola Slone Tackett, 70, of U.S. 60 East, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at her home after an illness of several months.
She was born on June 25, 1938 in Morgan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Luther and Artie Perry Stamper.
Mrs. Tackett was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God and enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harlan Eugene Stamper and a nephew, Mark John Symsick.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn Tackett of Morehead, one daughter, Katheryn Leach of Morehead, two sisters, Mary Morr of Mansfield, Ohio and Alice Conley of Morehead, three grandchildren, Gretchen Fraley and her husband, Mark and Robert Shane Goodpaster all of Morehead and Tonya Gail Goodpaster of Frenchburg, five great-grandchildren, Nathan Fraley, Amanda Jo Howard, MarKayla Fraley, Nikota Goodpaster and Katelyn Goodpaster, two nieces, Rhonda Symsick and Toni Moore, one nephew, William Michael Conley, one great-niece, Star Ernest, one great-nephew, Gage Ernest, close friend, Maryetta Maze and several cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 22, 2009 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery. Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Thursday.
Pallbearers will be William Michael Conley, Marvin Ratliff, Lonnie Plank, Jeff French, Robert Shane Goodpaster and Josh Sorrell.
