Mr. Leonard “Buck” Steagall, 71, of Morehead, passed away Thursday morning, February 14, 2019 at his home.
He was born in Rowan County, Kentucky on May 8, 1947, a son of the late Leonard Wilson Steagall and Minnie Tackett Steagall.
Mr. Steagall was a retired logger and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Morehead.
He enjoyed working on vehicles, old muscle cars, gardening and yard work.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James Crouch, nine brothers, Allen Stegall, Abel Steagall, Arlie Steagall, Elijah Steagall, Cecil Raymond “Pete” Steagall, James Alfred Steagall, David Steagall, Ernest Steagall and Harlan Steagall and three sisters, Lena Mae Steagall, Marie Steagall and Rosie Weaver.
Survivors include his wife, Irma McCarty Steagall, two daughters, Minni Aldan (Andres) of Nicholasville and Julie Crouch Reed (Thomas) of Morehead, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 17, 2019 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Aaron Gay officiating.
Burial will follow in the Caudill Cemetery at Cranston.
Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tony Stegall, Robert Stegall, Brian Winkleman, Gene Weaver, Nathan Weaver and David Weaver.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Stegall and Myron “Bud” Logan.
