Leonard Richardson

Mr. Leonard Eugene Richardson, 84, of Portsmouth, Ohio formerly of Morehead, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the residence of his daughter in West Jefferson, Ohio.
He was born on May 26, 1926 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Virgil and Dovie Phillips Richardson.
Mr. Richardson was a retired grocery store owner/operator and insurance agent. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during World War II.
He was a member of the New Boston First Church of God, New Boston, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing and was very active in the Men's Group and other activities in his church.
Survivors include his wife, Goldia Cox Richardson, one daughter, Karen Richardson Phelps and her husband, Ron of West Jefferson, Ohio, one sister, Audra Porter of Morehead, two grandchildren, Alan Phelps and Stacy Phelps Smith, four great-grandchildren, Peyton Smith, Nate Smith, Courtney Phelps and Cody Phelps and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the New Boston First Church of God, 3920 Gallia Street, New Boston, Ohio.
