Larry Kenneth McClurg

Larry Kenneth McClurg, 79 of Morehead, Kentucky passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead. He was born June 19, 1945, in Rowan County, Kentucky to the late Roy and Jessie Harris McClurg.

Larry was a retired sawmill worker having worked at several area sawmills. He enjoyed taking care of his yard, raising a garden, taking a ride in the country and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Julie Thompson McClurg, Four daughters, Michelle (Tony) Warren of Clearfield, Kentucky, Tina (Sammy) Sanner of Carmichaels, Pennsylvania, Kimberly (Jerry) Mynhier and Samantha (William) Oswald all of Morehead, Three brothers, Bobby (Cheryl) McClurg and Tommy McClurg all of Hillsboro, Kentucky and Tiny McClurg of Lexington, Kentucky. One sister, Irene Toy of Morehead. Also, 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. One great-great-grandchild expected in May. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Paster Joe Cline officiating.

Burial will follow in the Knox Hill Cemetery in Bath County.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is after 11:00 A.M.  Tuesday.

Pall Bearers will be Jeffrey Fultz, Kenneth Glover, Kacie Vancleve, Christopher Oswald, Jordan Phipps and Ethan Fultz.
