Kenneth Hall

December 20, 1933 — July 19, 2014

Mr. Kenneth Harold "Red" Hall, 80, of McConnelsville, Ohio, formerly of Rowan County, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Kenneth was born on December 20, 1933 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Estel Hall and Mary Jones Hall Alfrey.

Red was owner/operator of Hall's trucking, Army Corp of Engineers mapping the Mississippi River, Great Lakes Construction as a surveyor, Owner of Hall's painting, and owner of Papa Bear's CB shop. He enjoyed coon hunting and Ford cars and drinking coffee with friends every morning. He was an animal lover and was especially proud of his coon dog Ranger, who won the world tournament of champions.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Justin Hall, who passed away in 1976 and two half sisters, Juanita Pfahler and Betty Alfrey.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Monroe Hall, whom he married on January 6, 1968, one son, Adrian Hall of Columbus, Ohio, two daughters, Gayle Mullen of South Carolina and Melinda (Ron) Yerian of Cumberland, Ohio, grandchildren, Ian Hall, Ashton Yerian, Olivia Yerian, Chris Mullen and Sherri Mullen, two great grandchildren, one brother, Chalmer Hall of Crestline, Ohio, two half- brothers, Billy Alfrey and Bobby Alfrey both of Shelby, Ohio and two cousins, Roberta Jones Kelsey and Linden Jones both of Rowan County, Kentucky.

A private burial will be held.

Contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice Morrison House of Zanesville.
