Kay Martin Terrell

Kay Martin Terrell, 75, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at her home.

She was born on November 26, 1949 in Kayford, West Virginia, a daughter of the late John C. and Nellie I. McGuire Martin.

Kay was a retired nurse’s aide for St. Claire and she had also worked for Home Health and been a bus monitor.

She was affiliated with CrossWork Bible Church and enjoyed babysitting, bible study, photography and candy making, especially fudge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Jared Royse and Matt Terrell.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Kenny Terrell, one son, Russell Terrell (Maria) and two daughters, Leisa Kidd and Kim Royse (Clyde) all of Morehead, two brothers, Pat Martin of Owingsville, Kentucky and Calvin Fultz of Farmers, six grandchildren, Josh Kidd, Tyler Kidd (Allie), Kylan Davenport (Neil), Allie Terrell, Nathan Terrell and Kristen Royse, five great-grandchildren, Sean Kidd, Khloe Kidd, Peyton Royse, William Davenport and Whitley Davenport and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 8, 2025 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Pastor Greg Resor officiating.

Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.

Visitation is after 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Josh Kidd, Tyler Kidd, Nathan Terrell, Steven Terrell, Clyde Royse, Jason Martin, Sean Kidd and Neil Davenport.

Honorary pallbearers will be Khloe Kidd, Kylan Davenport, Allie Terrell, Kristen Royse, Whitley Davenport and William Davenport.

Contributions are suggested to UK-St. Claire Hospice or the A.L.S. Foundation.
