Karen Howard

Karen Eileen Howard, 58, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in the King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

She was born on June 20, 1959 in Juneau, Alaska, a daughter of the late Carl Richard Cummings and Ruth Eileen Harvill Cummings.

Karen was a homemaker and a foster parent.

She enjoyed camping, bowling, crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and soul mate, Timothy (“Timmy”) Howard and one brother, Paul Ervin Cummings.

Survivors include her daughter, Nicole Barr and her husband, Braden of Clearfield, Kentucky, one brother, Carl Richard Cummings, Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri, one sister, Cheryl Ann Starling of Cincinnati, Ohio, five grandchildren, Tabitha Howard, James Holbrook, Jordyn Holbrook, Taryn Holbrook and Hunter Barr and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is after 6:00 P.M. Saturday, May 5, 2018.

There will be no funeral service.
