Joseph Estill Littleton, 62, of Cranston Road in Morehead, Kentucky passed away Monday December 4, 2023 at his residence after an extended illness.
Born July 16, 1961 in Morehead, Kentucky a son of Juanita Oney Littleton and the late Elder Cephas Littleton Sr.
Joseph worked as a carpenter for Local 472 Ashland, United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He was also a member of the Salt Lick Masonic Lodge #682 and had served several years on the Route 377 Fire Department.
Anything outdoors made Joseph happy, from working in the greenhouse, gardening, vineyard and orchard, raising quail, hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed canning and learning new ways to grow things. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family especially those grandbabies.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Elder Cephas Littleton Sr.
Survivors include his mother, Juanita Oney Littleton of Morehead; his wife, Alisa Hamm Littleton, whom he married on July 21, 1984; one son, Chuck Littleton of Morehead; two daughters, Katie Zornes (Mark) and Emily Littleton both of Morehead; two brothers, Cephas Littleton Jr. (Liz) and William Vaughan Littleton (Amanda) both of Morehead; one sister, Deborah Ann Ishmael (Terry) of Hillsboro, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Raina Williams, Emmitt Pergrem, Alex Caudill, Chloe Caniff, Richard Whitman and Andy Zornes; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 10, 2023 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Brother Aaron Riley officiating.
Joseph will be laid to rest in the Sardis Cemetery at Cranston.
Visitation will take place after 6:00 P.M. Saturday December 9, 2023 at the funeral home with Masonic Rites at 7:30 P.M. by the Salt Lick Masonic Lodge #682.
Casket bearers will be Chuck Littleton, Dustin Whitman, Mark Zornes, Jason Littleton, Austin Littleton, Wesley Helterbrand and Jim Coss.
Honorary casket bearers will be his brothers, Cephas Littleton Jr. and William Vaughan Littleton.
All arrangements for Joseph Estill Littleton and family are under the care and direction of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home, 808 Old Flemingsburg Road, Morehead, Kentucky 40351.
