Johnny Kern Cundiff, age 54 of Soldier, passed away Friday evening in the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center after suffering a massive stroke.
He was born in Georgetown, Kentucky on November 12, 1963 to the late William Kern and Lillian Lunsford Cundiff.
Johnny was a former sawmill worker and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and reading.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his two sons, Brian Scott Cundiff and Kenneth John Cundiff.
Survivors include one brother, Kenneth Eugene Cundiff and his wife Brenda of Lexington, Kentucky; one aunt, Glenna Faye Fultz of Morehead; four uncles, Delbert Lunsford of Soldier; James Lunsford of Dry Branch; Glennis Lunsford of Upper Tygart and Thurman Lunsford of Georgetown, Kentucky.
One niece Courtney Cundiff, one nephew Derek Cundiff and one great-nephew, Dorian Cundiff.
A celebration of life service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Thurman Lunsford officiating. Family and friends will also share remembrances.
