John Elton “Jack” Lewis, 82, of Open Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at his home.
He was born on August 4, 1939 in Haldeman, Kentucky, a son of the late William M. and Jessie Dryden Lewis.
Mr. Lewis was a retired welding inspector for a nuclear power plant.
He was an entertainer in the music industry having played for several bands and had also performed solo.
Jack enjoyed playing music, watching the Kentucky Wildcats, fishing and he loved baseball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Danny Lewis, James R. Lewis and Paul Lewis and one sister, Betty Click.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Christian Lewis, two daughters, Debbie (Tom) Douin and Jackie (Rodney) Hunt all of Clinton, Illinois, one sister, Joyce (Dan) Lewis of Morehead, four grandchildren, Mallie (Chris) Pyles, Alexandria (Alex) Carr, Lauren Hunt and Christian Hunt, three great-grandchildren, McKinley Pyles, Oakleigh Pyles and Maverick Pyles and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the New Sill Cemetery at Haldeman.
There is no visitation.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
