John Barker

Mr. John Timothy Barker, 55, of Morehead, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 in the University of Louisville Hospital.
He was born on April 1, 1959 in Maysville, Kentucky, a son of Jean Adkins Barker and the late Herbert Barker.
John was a mechanic, carpenter and United States Army Veteran.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, flea markets and Friday night card games with his brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Mays Barker, his mother, Jean Adkins Barker of Morehead, one son, Dakota (Jenna) Barker of Morehead, one daughter, Jonna Barker of Morehead, five brothers, Rick Barker, Randy Barker and Tom Barker all of Morehead, Jeff Barker of Olive Hill and Rob Barker of Maryville, Tennessee, two sisters, Debbie Barker Davis and Jeanetta Barker both of Morehead and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 21, 2014 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mays Cemetery in Elliott County.
Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Nephews will be serving as pallbearers.
