Mr. Jimmie Thomas, Age 70, of US 60 East, Morehead, passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 29, 2007 in the emergency room of St. Claire Regional Medical Center. He was born July 12, 1937 in Carter County, Kentucky to the late Allie and Golda Williams Thomas.

He was a member of the Soldier Church of God and was a life long employee of Larry Fannin Chevrolet. He was a people person and enjoyed his customers very much. He loved selling vehicles and loved all the employees of Larry Fannin Chevrolet. He loved and adored his grandchildren. He enjoyed farming and other activities with Brian. Brooke always spent Saturday evening with her Papaw. As long as they were happy, Papaw was happy. They both loved him and will miss him deeply.

Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Thomas and Billy Thomas and two sisters Juanita Lyons and Freda Thomas.

Survivors include his wife, Rosalie Trumbo Thomas, two daughters Jeanne Ann Burton and her husband David of Morehead and Jennifer Lynn Burton and her husband Mark of Olive Hill, Kentucky. Four brothers, Hobert "Buck" Thomas, Bobby Thomas, Gary Thomas, and Roger Thomas all of Morehead. Five sisters, Mildred Bailey, Ruby Stevens, Kay Hall and Joanne Sturgill all of Morehead and Wilma Stevens McKeown of Hammond, Indiana. Two Grandchildren, James Brian Burton and Brooke Burton.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Soldier Church of God with Rev. Gayle Price and Rev. Delmar Logan, Jr officiating. Burial will follow in the New Sill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home after 5:00 PM Monday, anytime Tuesday and after noon Wednesday at the church.

Pall Bearers will be Brian Burton, Roger Hilderbrand, Jared Burton, Kenny Lyons, Rick Thomas, David Hall, Jerry Patrick and Kenneth Henderson. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Larry Fannin, Employees of Larry Fannin Chevrolet, Dr. Don Blair and Paul Blair. Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home is caring for all arrangements for Mr. Jimmie Thomas
