Jared Royse

Jared Michael Royse, 29, of Morehead, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at his home.

He was born on February 26, 1992 in Morehead, Kentucky, a son of Clyde and Kimberly Terrell Royse.

Jared was a dockmate at Cave Run Marina.  He had also been an iron worker and worked at Hitachi in Harrodsburg.

He was a graduate of RCSHS, where he was the catcher for the baseball team and he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha.

Jared enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, sports, riding dirt bikes and dune buggies and spending time with his friends.  He loved the Cleveland Browns.  He also loved to cook and enjoyed international foods.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arlie and Goldie Royse.

Survivors include his parents, Clyde and Kimberly Terrell Royse of Morehead, his daughter, Peyton Royse of West Liberty, his sister, Kristen Royse of Clearfield, his companion, Brittany Bethea, the mother of his child, Cassie Bowersock, his maternal grandparents, Kenny and Kay Terrell of Morehead, his aunt, Leisa Kidd, two uncles, Russell Terrell and Claude Royse, cousins, Josh Kidd, Tyler Kidd, Nathan Terrell, Allie Terrell and Kylan Davenport and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 27, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Elijah Sexton officiating and Nathan Terrell reading the eulogy.

Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dakota Rasche, Steven Rasche, Jacob Glover, Doug Duncan, Joe Caskey, Cody McCarty, Dewayne Knippenberg and Tyler Kidd.

Honorary pallbearers will be Skylar Adams, Jake Bowman, Rayann Gray Owens, Kailen Allen, Josh Ferguson, Brandon Richardson and Brittany Layne.
