Ima J. Wages Caldwell

Ima J. Wages Caldwell, 93, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at the Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation in Owingsville, Kentucky. 

She was born March 6, 1930 in Farmers, Kentucky to the late Henry L. Wages and Mayme Moore Dunn.

Ima was a member of the Bluebank First Church of God. She enjoyed farming, working with flowers, square dancing, playing guitar and singing and most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde "Brub" Caldwell; one daughter, Sharlet Caldwell Gibson; three brothers, Tex O. "Buck" Wages, Jim Wages, and Harold Lee Dunn; two sisters, Lorraine "Dena" Mullins and Patty Jo Elmore; and one grandson, Jasen Gibson.

Survivors include one son, Chris C. Caldwell of Morehead; one sister, Nadine Sue Hungerford of Mt. Summitt, Indiana; four grandchildren, Travis Gibson (Heather); Tye Gibson (Miranda); Cole Caldwell (Amie) and Emily Mullins (Zach); ten great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 17, 2023 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Jeff Fannin and Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery at Midland.

Visitation is after 12:00 noon until the hour of service Friday.

Casket bearers will be Cole Caldwell, Zach Mullins, Travis Gibson, Tye Gibson, Gary Wages, and Chris Caldwell.
